Biography

Gerald Smith is a running coach  and corrective exercise specialist. He has had experience of coaching for a range of athletic disciplines including badminton, hockey, football and rowing (where he trained the London Rowing Club to a victory at the Henley Royal Regatta).

Gerald has gathered his knowledge and expertise to build a running program that is second to none.

In 2008, Gerald took on an internship at Watford Football Club alongside his work as a personal trainer. Here his personal training skills and strength training expertise complemented his intern work and he eventually developed them into a running coaching system for the professional athletes.

The team was successfully coached to improve their running techniques; vastly improving their speed on the pitch and adjusting the players’ gait to avoid injuries.

Gerald’s involved experience in running coaching is backed up by a solid foundation of education in this subject. He has shared his knowledge and techniques in his writing for many respected fitness publications such as H2open, Triathlon Plus, Body Fit, Trail Running, Cycling Fitness and Men’s Running.

Gerald has solidified his knowledge of strength training and running coaching into a powerful and highly successful running coaching program for triathletes, delivering stellar results time after time. If you decide to train with Gerald, you have made the decision to be your very best.

  • ASA Level 2 swimming teacher
  • Qualified to REPS level 3 (Register of Exercise Professionals)
